From hats to headbands I’m not sure which turban hybrid I’m more in love with. The hat-turbans give me the feeling of old Hollywood glamor, and the headband-turbans are the perfect simple update to the bejeweled contraptions we’ve been attaching to our heads for the last few seasons. These hats and headbands will be put to good use with all the bad hair days and rain I’m projecting for the spring. They project a certain Parisian air, with the power to make any ensemble tons chicer in a matter of minutes.
From pops of color to basic blacks, and prints to solid shades, I’ve tossed my knit slouchy bonnets into my discard pile because these turban headpieces are my new favorite everyday pieces. Whether I’m topping off a French roll updo, or aching for a piece that almost resembles a cloche, it’s these turban hybrids that I’ll be reaching for, at least for the next six months. I’m particularly in raptures with the ikat-patterned fusion of grey, mustard, purple, and blue in the Cara Accessories turban head wrap, it’s pre-knotted styling makes it easy to slip on and go. The azure blue hue of this ASOS turban-hat hybrid, combined with its delicate drapery makes this particular piece utterly bewitching, adding a little vintage brooch to the front knot will make the piece even more spectacular. I’m on the waiting list for when the In the Gardens Turban gets restocked at Mod Cloth, if it’s one thing I can’t pass up it’s a piece that helps me channel an Audrey Hepburn character, and this one in particular is screaming ‘Sabrina!’ Diane von Furstenberg’s leopard-print stretch-silk turban combines two of my favorite colors – turquoise and brown, not to mention it’ll go with just about everything in my wardrobe.
